Smoothie Through a Straw

As I mentioned back in this post, wonderful Grandma Hepworth gifted me her Bosch. I have made bread no less than 6 times since she has gifted it to me - one batch even included 15 cups of 100% freshly milled whole wheat flour. Yum.

We didn't have a working blender when she gave this to us either, so I was pretty thrilled to have a blender in my life again as it has a beautiful blender attachment. :) It had been too long since we'd all enjoyed a delicious smoothie for breakfast. So this morning, I decided to try out the blender to make that delicious smoothie.
  • 4 fresh bananas
  • 1 fresh peach
  • Half blender of frozen strawberries
  • ~1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 15 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice (the Kirkland variety)
Sounds so good doesn't it? Too bad as soon as I had finished making it, I lifted the blender off the motor and this happened:

Smoothie Fail.
At least I have a husband and son who aren't picky about how they drink their smoothies:

Squire and Lincoln drinking smoothie from the counter through straws.
Bottoms up!

I really hope this isn't an omen for the rest of the day. I need to read the instruction manual for my Bosch again apparently.

  1. Just tighten the bottom more, I have Mr. Muscles do it :) Easy fix! Enjoy your bosch! I love mine.

    1. Thanks for the tip, Jenni! Setting up the blender will officially be Squire's duty now. Haha.

  2. It still tasted really good.

    1. You're right love. It totally did. My cheeks hurt a little from sucking so hard to drink it, but it was worth it to at least get a taste. :)
