40 Creative Halloween Costume Ideas for Pregnant Women - Family Edition

When I was pregnant with Lincoln, we decided to utilize my pregnant belly for our Halloween costumes.
Baby's very first Halloween - he just couldn't wait to start Trick or Treating!
As it turns out, this post I wrote on Halloween costumes for pregnant women a couple years ago, is the most highly searched and viewed post on our blog. I guess there are a lot of folks out there who want to take advantage of the pregnant belly with their costumes, too!

Since I will be nice and round for this Halloween and have already been contemplating this quite a bit . . .
AND to help satisfy the need out there for pregnant women, pregnant couples, families with a pregnant woman to utilize their matriarch's bellies in a creative way on All Hallow's Eve with their wardrobes - I have come up with a long list of creative and unique ideas for pregnant couples and families. Because, we kind of like dressing up family style and think you might like that sort of thing, too.

Just because it is fun, here is a reminder of our family coordinated Halloween costume from last year. Adorable, but WAY too hot for Tucson:

Now, we just have to figure out what it is we Hepworths are all going to be this year!

Tell me - which costume idea would you like us to bring to life this year?
Which ideas are your favorites?
What were you when you were pregnant?
Any other fun ideas for costumes for pregnant women I didn't mention here?!

    1. horrible post....why would i want to be the fat person in every single role?

      1. Sorry you didn't find something to your liking! I hope you can find some ideas that help you feel nice and thin in your pregnant state this Halloween! Good Luck! :)

      2. When you are expecting your stomach grows very large and most traditional costumes will not fit well (third trimester) the goal Is to either incorporate you stomach, soccer ball, aquarium, pumpkin patch, or to hide it, dressing as someone who is overweight or something large and round....a sexy cheer leader or sexy Angel or any other similar costume won't look to great until after you have your figure back

You need to loosen up! Every one of these ideas are funny and would be a great laugh at any event. Being "the fat person" is the whole idea because..... news flash...... you ARE the fat person! So go ahead and point out the elephant in the room and give everyone a laugh. Or, you could go as the burning up person who is wearing a bunch of stuff to try to hide that you are pregnant and you can be miserable and hot all Halloween.

    2. Seriously? Your pregnant and thats the whole idea of these costumes! There not here to make you look skinny! You should be proud to be carrying life inside of you, these costumes are for those of us who are proud of our pregnancy!

    3. Im trying to figure out how yall make the pregnancy 1 with babys arm off of thr belly thats what i want to do

    4. Love the one from The Scarlett Letter. I may just have to do that one. Lol!

    5. Where did you buy the mini trick-or-treat bag? Or did you make it?

    6. I did Pillsbury Dough boy for a costume one year and it was a HIT! Super easy and comfortable. Pair of white jogging pants, white shirt, made my hat out of white paper and gift tissue paper, painted Pillsbury logo on front and 2 red cooking mittens. The cute round belly really brought it all together! :)

    7. Looking for any awesome, scary, funny or weird Halloween Costume Ideas and just in time, I found your blog which is very interesting. Thanks for sharing and I do hope I could pin some nice photos on my Pinterest boards. Good day! :D
