A Tale of Two New Mammas...

Remember this post? Well, I have a wonderful follow-up on it for all of you. :)

Sunday morning (February 27th), Squire and I were walking back to our hospital room after I had nursed Lincoln. To my surprise, I saw Jen's husband, Andrew, talking on the phone in the hallway. "Oh my gosh! Where is Jen?!" I asked him. Jen was in room 212 just two doors down from our room - 210. Jen had given birth to her little boy, Davis Clarke Adair, just a couple hours previous and was now in her bed, recovering. I ran into Jen's room when I realized she was just a few feet away. We laughed and talked all about our births and about the fact that we had just chatted on the phone Friday evening around 5 or 6pm. I had been trying to resolve to be more patient, and Jen was sure she would have to be induced on Lincoln's due date. What was even more fun than either of us could have predicted was that we would have our babies just over 31 hours apart! Davis weighed in at 6lbs. 14oz. and was 19 inches long.
Here is a picture of us with baby Davis. Lincoln was unfortunately still in the NICU when Jen and Davis were being discharged. But, Jen and Davis got to come over to meet Lincoln today! Here are a few pictures:
Davis has some really stylin' hair. Lincoln was getting hungry.
Here's a little shot comparing their hands. . .
and their little leggers.
Maybe I shouldn't have found this as funny as I did, but I kept forgetting to turn off the flash on my little point and shoot. The babies weren't too happy with the bright lights. Haha.
Here's a picture of Davis. He is such a cutie! I'm glad we were all able to meet today. :)
One more - of the new Mammas.
