Chop Chop!

I knew it was time for me to get a hair cut early last week when I was actually contemplating how I could cut it myself. Luckily the images of the hideous potential outcome that appeared in my mind kept me from snipping away. And Groupon saved me the burden of having to pay full price - or half-price, even (58% discount - whoot!).

*Full disclosure: the above link is my personal referral link and if you buy a Groupon through it, I will get Groupon bucks for having referred you. So if you feel inclined, click to my benefit! And yours, too - because Groupon is seriously awesome.*

Here are the BEFORE pics:

(My inspiration was this picture and this blog post. Yes, Katie. You are my hair hero, too.)

 Here are my AFTER pics:
There is just something so attractive and feminine about showing some neck, don't you think? :)

Squire usually prefers me to have long hair, but he says he loves this cut even better. Win-win.
My handsome husband admiring my hair from afar. . . well, the closet . . .
For Tucsonians looking for great hairdressers: Audree at Mingle Salon and Spa cut my hair. I am very happy with the cut, and her service was excellent. I would totally recommend her. The Yelp reviews on this place were all 5 stars. Personally, I don't know if I could really afford to pay the full price ($50) for a cut. But, if I see another Groupon pop up for Mingle in the future, I will be snagging it for sure, and you should too.

And this is not related to the hair cut. But, this is what my boys were doing while I was taking the before pics. Pretty heart-warming to see them playing together like that, no?
Now I'm all set to face the 115 degree weather Tucson undoubtedly has coming. (We broke 100 degrees on Sunday.) Bring on the heat!

  1. Looks fantastic! I have such a hard time getting a cut I like and really want to just chop it all off! You'll have to post updates on how easy it is to style.

  2. So cute! I was so glad you called yesterday, but sorry my kids were being... well, my kids. And that makes it difficult to talk for long!
