For all my Mormon readers out there, I'm sure you're familiar with our church's latest ad campaign. For all of my friends and readers who aren't members of my faith, I'd bet you probably are too! The "I'm a Mormon." ad campaign has garnered national attention. Even Colbert teased about the campaign on his Colbert Report and proposed his own one-upping "I'm a Catholic." ad. You can watch that clip here.
Some research revealed that many people know very little about Mormonism or it's people and what they do know is often incorrect. In order to combat this, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has begun the "I'm a Mormon" campaign. Members of the church around the world are able to contribute their own profiles online, to share their stories about why and how they live their faith. Many have been made in to YouTube videos, like this one.
Honestly, my own profile has been sitting on the back-burner for the last year or so. But I finally decided to finish it! (Maybe the whole NaBloPoMo thing isn't all that bad. ;) )
Just in case you ever wondered about what I believed but didn't feel comfortable asking why - you can click this yellow button here (or on my sidebar) to visit my personal profile and find out! :)
