|Squire and Me at the Reno temple on our wedding day.|
(FYI: In our church, different members are chosen from the congregation to give speeches on a given topic each Sunday. And it just so happens that Squire and I were asked to do the speaking this week.)
The sub-topics we are supposed to cover, make me laugh just a little bit. I am supposed to cover, "Why marriage/having a family is hard." and Squire is supposed to cover, "Why it's worth it."
Now, I wouldn't really do this but the thought (my mom's idea) was just too funny not to share. What if I got up to speak and I just listed all the different ways men make marriage hard for us women and then sat down. . . leaving Squire to his speech about "Why it's worth it" after my ranting. Thinking about doing that brings tears of laughter to my eyes! No, I won't do that to my man. But, you have to admit it would be a sacrament meeting to remember! Haha.
I've been doing a lot of pondering and praying about my topic, and I think I know where I'll be going with my talk. But, I want to know what you think. Is Eternal Marriage a blessing or a curse? Help me out friends! :)
UPDATE: Here is a link to the actual stuff I said, in blog form. :)
