What: Lincoln's Baby Blessing*
When: This Sunday, March 27th @ 9:30am (Sacrament meeting begins at 9:30am and Lincoln will be blessed shortly thereafter.)
Where: The HFAC on BYU campus in room E-250:
Here is a map of the corner of campus you will need to be familiar with to find parking and the building where Lincoln will be blessed! The navy circle shows you where to park, the red star marks the approximate location of room E-250 in the HFAC.
*What is a baby blessing you ask?! I've included a short explanation of what baby blessings are below. I found it at this link about Ordinances:
"Men who have the priesthood can bless babies, usually a few weeks after the babies are born. They must have the permission of the bishop or branch president to do this. . .The father, if he holds the Melchizedek Priesthood and is worthy, or another person who holds the Melchizedek Priesthood, holds the baby in his arms, assisted by others who must also hold the Melchizedek Priesthood, and says a prayer. In the prayer, he addresses our Father in Heaven, says he performs the ordinance by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood, and gives the baby a name that is chosen by the parents. He then blesses the baby as the Holy Ghost inspires him."
