The score is in!

Remember back to this post at the beginning of the Summer? Well, Squire took the MCAT that day, and a month later he wasn't completely pleased with his score. So, he took it again. Today, after yet another month of anxious waiting, he got his score back...and it was AWESOME! He scored in the 95th percentile of testers with his score, which means so many wonderful things for us:

- Money saved: Fewer secondary applications to submit (we'll only submit applications where we really want to go.), fewer plane tickets purchased for interviews to schools we're only keeping as backups.

- More options: Not only will Squire get in to medical school with his score, but we will probably have several to choose from. We won't have to play the waiting game for a year either. Squire will start his first semester somewhere around the Fall 2011.

- More aid: We may receive additional financial aid from schools.

- One extremely relieved husband.

- One very proud wife.

Medical School - here we come!

  4. Wow, I'm so impressed! Where are the schools that you will be looking at?

  5. We are looking mostly at schools in the West: UNR in Reno, Utah, several schools in Texas, Arizona, and a few scattered around the country. We are interested in Vanderbilt in Tennessee also. But, it will take a while to know where we're going. We'll keep you updated! :)

  6. I just boiled them in enough water to cover until a fork went in somewhat easily. Then I slice them and eat with butter, salt and pepper. I've tried baking and didn't like them as much as when I've boiled.
